The third cycle of monitoring report provides an analysis of the judicial response to corruption in 2017, compared to the results of monitoring from previous years.

The results of the second cycle of monitoring of the work of judicial institutions in BiH in the field of processing corruption-related criminal offenses reveal not only similar problems, but also weaker results in a number of important indicators.

The fact that, almost ten years after it was established, the system of protection against discrimination in BiH is still not fully functional is certainly a cause for concern, but also for the increased engagement of all relevant actors.

The report  "Development of local e-governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina" has been published by Mediacentar Sarajevo (www.media.ba), prepared in cooperation with Analitika - Center for Social Research (www.analitika.ba), the Association of Municipalities and Cities of FBiH (www.sogfbih.ba/) and the Association of Municipalities and Towns of Republika Srpska (www.alvrs.com). The report is a result of research conducted during 2010 and 2011, with a focus on the analysis of e-governance at the local level in BiH.

Even though the normative and institutional framework for combating corruption in BiH is in place, research has shown that in the last twenty years it remains an omnipresent phenomenon in Bosnian and Herzegovinian society. Despite the particularly important role of judiciary in combating corruption, there is a general lack of research and reports focused on prosecution of corruption-related crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Examining the work of the Croatian Constitutional Court, the paper aims to assess the extent of the Court’s activism in the field of transitional constitutional justice and, consequently, the Court’s successes and failures in promoting the legal transition from a socialist order to a modern constitutional democracy.

This paper analyses the position and role of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo as a guardian of the nascent democracy in Kosovo, exploring the external and internal factors that have contributed to the Court’s having strong voice and agency in the constitutional and political system of Kosovo.  

This paper explores the position, jurisdiction, institutional structure, operation and jurisprudence of the Macedonian Constitutional Court as a policymaker, analyzing the “hit-and-miss” opportunities in its contribution to the state’s democratic transition and consolidation.

The paper explores the role of the Constitutional Court of Serbia in the process of democratic transition, unpacking its marginal and marginalized role in the constitutional political system, and discussing the impact of a number of internal and external factors on the Court’s position and performance.
